Saturday competition

Saturday saw the Airlie Beach Hotel Monthly Medal being played and with fine weather prevailing some good scores were returned.

C grade and overall winner went to visitor Nick Lange who returned 64 nett. Runner-up C grade was Tony Woolridge on 66 nett.

B grade winner was Greg Walker on 68 nett from runner-up B grade Matt Bluck on 69 nett.

A grade winner was Gav Milne on 67 nett from runner-up A grade Larry Muller on 68 nett.

Pin shots went to Steve Knight on 10, Gav Milne on 13 and Mark Richards on 16.

Thursday club

With golfers being greeted by a very wet course on Thursday, it was for the very keen who ventured out in the Men's Thursday Club event.

Paul Joice got the win in the 9 hole event, returning 32 nett to win from runner-up Shane Cooke on 33 nett.

The rundown included Michael Kavanagh 34 and completing the rundown on 35 was Lewis Tuck, Rob Stanley, Joe Taylor and Bruce Munro.

In the 18 hole event Lewis Tuck rose to the occassion posting 68 nett to take the win from runner-up Brad Albertson on 69 nett.

The rundown included Rob Stanley, Shane Cooke, Andrew Colborne 69, Benn Ryan 70, Wayne Temby 71 and completing the rundown on 72 was Luchie Gardel and Tom Fleming.

Pin shots went to Rob Stanley on 10, Dave Rumble on 13 and Pascal Neunreuther on 16.
