Proserpine Ladies Golf
Perfect weather conditions prevailed for the Monthly Medal Trophy last Wednesday.
The Stroke competition was won by Lyn Muller with a brilliant 71 net score.
In second place on count back was Bernice Peterson 74 net; 3rd Shirley Newell also 74 net; 4th Tiny Emmerson with 75 net; followed by Caroline and Marlene Gray on 77 net.
The competition for least putts was won by Marieta Smith with a total of 30 putts.
Nearest the Pin was won by Tracey Duncan on the 2nd; Bernice Peterson
on the 9th; Sue Smith on the 13th and Alison Day on the 16th.
A lovely day for golf and well played everybody!Once again a reminder to all lady golfers in the district that the Ladies Open Golf Competition will be held on Friday 1st August and we invite everyone to join in for this fun day.

Dawnbusters
Brad Albertson was the winner of the nine hole competition played on Sunday by the Dawnies. Brad had a 40 gross/30 nett score and won on a countback from Peter Skelton who scored 52 gross/ 30 nett. Close behind in third place was Maurie Moody with 55 gross/ 31 nett. Allan Ford and Bill O'Shea won the pin shots on 2 and 9. Maurie was the snak putter, Larry Mengel had the least number of putts and Trevor Beard won the Bradman's prize.
Juniors
The juniors are on school holidays at present but have been practising with Frank and playing holes with mates, good to see. Matt Bluck and Justin Connors are competing in the Mackay sugar Circuit this week, good luck. Junior coaching will be back in full swing as soon as school starts again.
Thursday
First in the nine hole comp was Michael Ward with 24 stableford points, followed by Paul Joice with 23 stableford points. Peter Lewis and Stafan Kovacik both had 22 stableford points.
The winner of the 18 hole comp was Peter Scrivens with 44 stablford points, Pascal was runnerup with 43 stableford points, Paul Joice had 42 points. Pin shots were won by Pascal Neunreuther on 2, Stephen Fahey on 9, Peter Browning on 13 and Paul Joice on 16
Saturday
A Club Day Single stableford on Staurday resulted in Matt Bluck taking out the comp with 43 stableford points, followed by Mike Kavanagh with 41 stable ford points and Jimm Grace with 40. Pinshots were won by Shane Smith on 2, Al Graham on 8, Steve Fahey on 13 and Garry Scotford on 16.
Next week will be the Metropole Monthly Medal, tee off at 12, nominations in by 11am.
