Thursday Club:
It was a 2 way dog fight to win the 9 hole event last Thursday but experience prevailed as Albert Pini posted 26 points to hold out Kelvin Stephens on 25. It was a 4 point drop back to Bill Woods on 21 points and another point back to Adam Stroud and the improving Benn Ryan.
Dave O'Connor showed there's life in the old dog yet after he came in three under the card resulting in 45 points, edging out the ever consistent Albert Pini on 43. Adam Stroud got into third spot with 41 points while the rundown included Mark Trims, Ron Jamieson and Benn Ryan.
Pin Shots went to Troy Smith, Benn Ryan and Dave O'Connor.
Saturday:
In damp, blustery conditions experience and body weight counted for nothing as one of our best juniors blitzed the field. Simon Dobbins tamed the tough conditions, posting an impressive Vs Par score of +7. The rest of the field was left languishing some 4 shots away with Gavin Milne and Kelvin Stephens on +3. Dave O'Connor, Jason Evans and Ray Plant filled made up the rundown.
Pin Shots went to Dave O'Connor, Gavin Milne, Simon Dobbins and Ray Plant snagged a double.
This Saturday:
Saturday will be a single stroke. Nominations from 11am for an 11:30 tee off. See you there.
