Although the amount of run on the course has been reduced due to the recent rain, the great scoring has continued. In Thursdays 9 hole comp Steve Nicholas returned 29 nett to take out the win from runner-up Peter Scrivens and third place getter Geoff Rees and 4th place Bernie Malcolm, all finishing on 30 nett. Finishing with 32 nett were Pascal Neunreuther, Andrew McKay and Kerry Hall, while having 33 nett were Luchie Gardel, Les Bradford, Bruce Munro, Greg Walker and Andrew Colborne. In the 18 hole event we saw 2 x stunning sub 60 netts with Steve Wallis blitzing the 18 hole comp with 53 nett from runner-up Steve Nicholas on 59 nett. Rob Stanley and Chris Doblo both finished on 66 nett in the rundown. Pins went to Greg Walker on 2, Brad Albertson on 9, Peter Hull on 13 and Andrew McKay on 16.
The weekly Chook Run again attracted a strong and very eager field. Brian Smith made use of his very attractive handicap finishing with a very impresive 24 nett to win the comp. Lucky card draw was Al Graham who was not present.
For a change golfers played a 2 Ball Russian Stableford on Saturday. With fine conditions 43 players took to the now green fairways for an afternoon of golf. With the format being to mutiply your stableford score against your partners there were a lot of " what if " stories after the round. Combining the best and winning on the day were Kerry Hall and Kym Hill having 94 points. Runners-up Gav Milne and Andrew Mau finished with 91 points from 3rd place getters Kelvin Stephens and Troy Dobbins 90 points and 4th place went to Trevor Nosworthy and Rod Wecker 88 points. Pin shots went to Rob Stanley on 5, Nick Watson on 9, Andrew Mau on 13 and Gary Scotford on 16.
This Saturday 21st will be a Versus Par event, organise yourself a team and tee-off from 6.30am or register and tee-off from 11.30am.
