Thursday Club
Don Hope pipped John Grosskreutz on 44 points to take out the 18-hole prize. Geoff Rees and Benn Ryan had 43 points. Bill Rogers with 27 points beat Geoff Rees on a count-back to win the 9-hole competition. Troy Dobbins and M.Hill had 26. Pins went to Mick Kavanagh, Troy Dobbins, John Grosskreutz and Geoff Rees.
Saturday.
Norm Ryan had a 62 net to easily win from Rod Wecker on 64 and Mark Richards on 65. Pins went to Ron Jamieson, Andrew Mau and Don Hope.
This coming Saturday will see the postponed Calcutta for the medal of medals commencing at 11 am followed by the Metropole Monthly Medal in conjunction with the medal of medals. The turkey day ambrose will be held the following Saturday.
Dawnbusters
Dawnbusters played a nine hole comp on Sunday with the winner on a countback Paul Skelton. Runner up prize went to George Stevenson and Arther Marriot in 3rd.
NTP 13th Paul Skelton, 16th Brad Albertson. Snake putter was Bill O’Shea, least number of putts went to George Stevenson with 15 putts. Bruce Upchurch won the Bradmans.
Proserpine Ladies Golf
Another dry, hot day for the Ladies Stableford Competition last Wednesday didn’t slow down the scoring with Viv Demartini playing a superb round with a sizzling 43points to claim outright winner.
Runner-up on a count-back was Tracey Duncan with 40pts; Karla Bredl 40pts; Kathryn Borer 39pts and Reh Hull 39pts.
NTP’s were won by Caroline Awdry on the 2nd and 9th and Margaret Cunningham on the 16th.
The Medal of Medals competition was also battled out on the day between Lyn Muller, Reh Hull, Caroline Awdry and Margaret Cunningham with Reh claiming the prize with a 71nett.
