Proserpine Ladies Golf
The Wednesday Ladies Day was a wonderful turnout last week with many new members joining the competition.
The ladies played for the Marlene Gray Trophy in a Flag Competition.
The game was won by Tracey Duncan; runner-up was new member Margaret Angledal and 3rd was Mary Taylor.
There was a range of NTP’s played and the winners were 2nd hole Tessa Aitken; 4th Karla Bredl; 9th Di Dobbins; 13th Mareta Smith; 16th Marlene Gray and 18th Lyn Muller.
Least Putts was a tie with Tessa and Tracey both with 30putts.
A reminder that the Ladies Foursomes will be played on Sunday 14th September and the Ladies Club Championships will be played over 2 Sundays – 21st and 28th September.
Come along on Wednesdays to “warm-up” for the Championships!

Last Thursday saw Michael Ward with net 63 win from Albert Pini on 64 and Russell Reardon on 65. In the 9-hole comp, Harry Smith won with 27 from Dave O’Connor on 29 and Peter Browning on 30. Pins went to Ken Whittaker, Bill Woods, John Grosskreutz and Peter Hull.
Last Saturday Marc Turner won on a count-back from Troy Dobbins on 65 with Lewis Tairaki on 66. Pins went to Simon Dobbins, Mick Leo, Gavin Milne and Mike George.
Sunday saw Kate Deambrogio and Lloyd Kingston win the mixed foursomes championships with 123 from Simon and Di Dobbins on 130. Peter and Reh Hull are the net champions with Neil Taylor and Ros Apps runners-up.
This Saturday will see the September Metropole Monthly Medal.
Dawnbusters
Winner of the nine hole Sunday competition was Paul Skelton with 47 gross/28 nett. Runnerup, Maurie Moody won on a chip off with Arthur Marriot. George Stevenson was the only pin shot winner this week. Maurie also won the snake putter title and George had the least number of putts Al Greedy won the Bradman’s with a putt off.
Friday Chook Run
Wayne Russell won last weeks Chook Run with 32 points on a count back from Trevor Nosworthy. Mick Leo was third with 39 points and Greg Walker came 4th. The card draw jackpotted again this week.
