WHITSUNDAY GOLF CLUB RESULTS 22nd July, 2007 This morning was a 9-hole Single Stroke event. A-grade winner was Tony Rees with 28net & runner-up was Chris Bailey on 34net B-grade winner was Kerry Hall with 31 net & runner-up was Donny Moore on 32net C-grade winner was Ron Chant with 23net & runner-up was Joel Garner on 34net. Ernie Holstein won the longest drive and Tony Rees won the nearest the pin for A-grade. Next week will be a 9-hole single stableford with a later tee-off of 8am." FRIDAY CHOOK RUN Tom Fleming played with the charm and grace of a seasoned virtuoso to streak the field in this week's chook run with a 26 nett. His new distinguished look, rejuvenated enthusiasium and massive handicap helped him beat Stuart Winn and Ross McNeil, who scored 30 nett. Jason Evans was present when his card won the card draw. DAWNBUSTERS All the Allan's get a mention this week with Angry Ant Allan Greedy winning the Dawnbusters with a 35 nett. Allan Ford came second with a 36 nett, and Allan Scott who is a mild mannered gentleman had the biggest dummy spit of the day. On the third hole, his fairway wood become a missile as he launched it down the fairway with disturbance. Larry Muller came in third with 37 nett and also got nearest the pin on 2.George Stevenson had a good day picking up the pin shot on 9 and the least number of putts. JUNIORS The juniors played a 9 hole competition on Friday with noone completing the 9 holes. The best scores for holes played were from Justin Connors, Lindsay Emmerson, Mitchell Laughton and Caitlin Daly. Juniors are reminded that Friday is a serious part of your training and golf rules must be followed..
