Proserpine Ladies Golf

A Verses Par Competition was enjoyed by all last Wednesday 18 June.
It was a close contest with Reh Hull the ultimate winner on +3; in second place was Alison Day on +2 and third was Bernice Peterson +1.The NTP’s were won by Alison Day on the 9th hole; Bernice Peterson on the 13th to finish with a spectacular birdie and Marieta Smith on the 16th hole. 
Welcome back to Marieta after a long break away.A couple of Matchplay games were played during the week and the final three players through to the last round are Roseanne Apps; Alison Day and Lyn Muller.  Good luck girls!Wednesday 2nd July competition will be the Monthly medal and all keen lady golfers out there are welcome to join.  Draw is at 9am with a 9.30am tee off.  Come along!

Thursday saw Ron Jamieson win with 41 points from Pascal Neunreuther and and Geoff Rees also with 41. Peter Fox and Steve Fahey were on 40 points.Dave Gates won the 9-hole comp with 23 points from Adam Stroud and Peter Fox on 22.
 
Saturday’s single stableford was taken out by Don Moore from Ian Powell and Gary Scotford. Pins went to Don Moore, Ian Powell and Gary Scotford.

Friday’s XXXX ambrose was won by Bill Woods, Joe Taylor and Peter Elms from Ross Mc Neill, Stu Win and Chris Bailey. Pins went to the  Gardel Gang , the Cummins Gang, Stanley’s group and Tuck’s group.

The men’s foursomes on Sunday was won by Lew Tuck and John Grosskreutz with 119 for the 27 holes from Simon Dobbins and Lloyd Kingston on 123. The net prize went to Pascal Neunreuther and Ian Powell on 105 from Mick Kavanah and Troy Dobbins on 105.75.

Next Saturday is the Fraser Ford Kindy day ambrose. Be there at 10am with tee-off at 11am. Post winter solstice drinks will be consumed this Thursday!

Dawnbusters

The Dawnies played a 9 hole competition on Sunday and the winner was Tom Fleming with 50 gross/ 29 nett. The runnerup was Gary Flannery with 50 gross/ 30 nett and third was Beryl Nosworthy on 60 gross/ 33 nett.
Graham Stoodley and Alan Greedy won the pinshots, Maurie Moody was the snake putter, Brad Albertson had the least number of putts and James Jaques won the Bradman’s prize.
