Thursday Club:
Peter Scrivens led the field home in the 9 hole event last Thursday, in a tightly battled affair. He shared the top score of 23 points with Mark Russell and Ian Powell. Stefan Kovacik and Russell Reardon were next best on 22.
Ian Powell continued to play well, winning the 18 hole competition with an honest 40 points. Mark Russell was just 2 points back on 38 while Russell Reardon, Mark Trims and Les Bradford filled the rundown list.
Pin Shots went to Brian Smith and Les Bradford. Saturday:
Bill Rogers got the year underway officially on Saturday. A crisp drive drive down the middle from Bill will hopefully be a good omen for the club for the rest of the year.
It worked for Mark Trims who played very consistent golf to win the day, shooting 42 points. Albert Pini showed plenty of ticker to get in with 41 points, as did Ken Muller and upcoming junior Chris Elms also on 41 points.
Pin Shots went to Ken Muller, Josh Laughton, Mark Richards, Mark Russell and Mark Trims bagged a double on 13 and 15.
The distance hitting prizes went to Ray Plant, Andrew Stroud and Ian Powell. This Saturday:

WHITSUNDAY GOLF CLUB Sunday March 25th, 2007 The Club played a 2-ball stableford medley this week. In a close competition, the winners were Kerry Hall and Mick Cooper with 25 points on a count-back from Jimmy McGaffin and Bruce Wiseman (also on 25). Runners-up were Graham Scott and Buck Little on 24 points.Longest drive was won by Tony Rees
Nearest the pins were won by Darren Crossley for A-grade, Mick Cooper for B-grade and Mal Hill for C-grade.
Next Sunday will be a 9-hole Mulligan Stroke event.
Dawnbusters
The Dawnies played a nine hole comp on Sunday morning and the winner was Paul Grace with a 48 gross, 33 nett score. The runnerup was Pascal Neunreuther with 38 gross, 34 nett on a countback from Paul Skeleton who scored 49 gross, 34 nett. The pinshot winners were Tim McBride on num,ber 13 and Pascal on number 16. John Abertson was the snake putter this week, Pascal had the least number of putts and Graeme Stoodley won the Bradman's.
Friday Chook Run
Ray Plant won this week's stroke competition on a count back from Terry Brown with 22 nett. Third was Lloyd Kingston with 28 nett Steve Abel and ron Jamieson won balls in the rundown. Ron also won the card draw. This week's competition will be a stableford on the back nine and is open to social players. The competition can be played any day of the week and as many times as players can find someone to play with. There is a maximum of 4 players per groups and a minimum of two players. Cards must be handed into the shop in time for a 5.30pm presentation and card draw.
Juniors
The juniors played a 6 hole stroke competition on Friday and the winners were Matthew Bluck, Keiran Shaw and Tayla Jeffries, well done. Juniors are reminded that they will be disqualified if they do not complete their 6 holes. The competition starts promptly at 3.30 pm every Friday afternoon bar school holidays.
