DAWNBUSTERS
Maurie Moody was the winner of the Dawnies 9 hole comp played on Sunday at the Proserpine golf Club. He had a 58 gross, 34 nett score, runner up, Larry Muller had a 36 gross, 35 nett followed by Arthur Marriott with 56 gross, 39 nett.
Bruce Upchurch and Larry Muller won the pinshots on number 2 and 9. Beryl Nosworthy was the snake putter, Larry had the least number of putts and Lisa Schuring won the Bradman's.
FRIDAY CHOOK RUN
There were only 11 players this week for a stableford competition on the back nine. Justin Connors was the winner with 29 stableford points and Mark Trims won the card draw. As Friday is a holiday next week the competition will be continued over Easter and end on Friday 13 April at 5.30pm
JUNIORS
Winners of the junior 6 hole competition played on Friday were: Josh Laughton,Lindsay Emmerson, Matthew bluck, Keiran Shaw, Tayla Jeffries, Matthew Hayes, Caitlin Daly and Bronte Guy. A prize was allocated to the best completed card, well done juniors every card was perfect and a card draw saw Matthew Hayes receiving the prize.
Thursday Club:
Merv Cotterill returned to form last Thursday with a 28 nett, just edging out Tom Phillips for the 9 hole mug. Al Graham and Ken Whittaker were next best on 29 nett while Derrick Veenstra and Ron Jamieson made it into the rundown on 30 nett.
Benn Ryan sunk a 40 foot putt on the last hole to score a personal best of 97 nett but it wasn't quite enough to hold out the in-form Justin Connors after he shot a solid 63 nett. Ken Whittaker also played well to record a 64 nett While Ian Powell and Merv Cotterill both carded nett 66.
Pin Shots went to Andrew Stroud, Adam Tester, George Gnezdiloff and Justin Connors.
Saturday:
Dave Danes' good form has continued, winning the April Monthly Medal with a fine 65 nett. Dave won overall and got the C Grade Medal with Lance Lloyd grabbing 2nd spot for C Grade.
Mark Trims also shot a solid 65 nett, missed out on the overall medal on a countback but won the A Grade medal. John Grosskreutz was next best for A grade with a 66 nett.
Andrew Stroud B Grade medal by a comfortable 3 shots, with a 67 nett. Merv Cotteril ran into second place with a 70 nett.
Pin Shots went to John Grosskreutz, Dave Forrest, Ray Plant, Dave O'Connor and Matt Goldman bagged a couple.
This Saturday:
Due to Easter this weekend, the Saturday competition will be a club day in the form of a Single Versus Par. Nominations from 11am for an 11:30 tee off. See you there.
