BC Construction’s event on Saturday saw Bob Dwyer and Rob Stanley win the golf bags with 51 points from Albert Pini and Gary Flannery on 50 points. Troy Smith and Matt Goldman, Luchie Gardel and Bruce Marshall, and Wayne Russell and Chris Bailey won the other main Prizes. Pins went to Peter Gaudry, Bill Woods and Bob Dwyer. Steve Fahey and Ann Gardel won the long drives. with 44 points edge out Bruce Otto by a point. Pins went to Bruce Otto, Daniel Jackson and Gary Scotford. The long drives went to Lew Tuck and Bruce Marshall, and Norm Ryan took home six prizes for his efforts.

Thursday’s saw Pascal Neunreuther pip Rob Stanley on nett 64 with Don Hope and Mick Dibben one shot further back. Brad Albertson won the 9-hole comp on 31 from George Steven and Mick Dibben on 32 nett. Pins went to Kelvin Stephens, Brad vAlbertson,Rob Stanley and Ray Plant..

This weekend’s main event is Tony Hayward’s comp on Saturday. The club Championships will be on the following weekend with 27 holes on each day.
Thursday saw Ron Jamieson bounce back from knee surgery to win with a net 64 from Bill Woods and Albert Pini on 68. Al Greedy took the 9-hole comp with a 31 net from Ron Jamieson on 32. Pins went to Brad Albertson, Michael Kavanagh and Bill Woods

Saturday’s “June” Metropole Monthly Medal went to Peter Lewis with a net 65. Mike George was runner up in C-grade while Rob Stanley took the A-grade with a 66 from Trevor Nosworthy on the same score. Adam Stroud won B-grade with 67 from Bill Foot on 69.

Sunday’s competition was won by Chris Elms with 62 from Daniel Jackson on 63 and Justin Connors on 65.

The Men’s 54-hole Championships saw Gavin Milne take the Smith Family trophy for the overall winner with a 10 over par 223 from Justin Connors on 230. Lloyd Kingston took the BC Constructions A-grade net with 208 from Trevor Nosworthy on 211. Mark Bell won the Caltex B-grade championship on the final hole with 244 by a shot from overnight leader Adam Stroud. Chris Elms won the Bi-Rite Electrical B-grade net with 207 from Lance Lloyd on 214. Daniel Jackson backed up from last year to comfortably retain the McNeill Building C-grade title with 254 by eight shots from Gary Scotford. Jim Cochrane took the Metropole C-grade net prize from Peter Hull. Both had 206 net.

With the NQ open this Saturday, there will be a club event, possibly a once in a lifetime four-ball Russian stableford.
