Sam Lambel was the winner of the 9 hole competition on Sunday at the Proserpine golf Club with a creditable 34 nett. Allan Ford was runnerup with 37 nett and Don Schrung was third also with 37 nett
The pinshots were won by Paul Skeleton and Paul Grace, the snake putter was Brad Albertson, the least number of putts was had by Allan Greedy and allan Scott won the Bradman's.
Whitsunday Golf Club
The WGC played a nine hole stroke competition on Sunday in Proserpine - the A grade winner was Mal Carter with 28 nett, the runner up was Ron Little with 33 nett. The B grade winner was Mick Cooper with 27 nett and the runnerup was Matt Benny with 30 nett. The nearest tp the pin shots were won by Mal Carter on number 15 and 13, George Meharry on number 16 and Billy O'Shea on number 18. The longest drives were won by Scott Wardroper and Gay Bowden and the snake putter was Dean Kercher.
Friday Chook run
The Chook run was a stroke competition this week and was won by Richard Todd with 31 nett The runnerup was Alec Bragg with 32 nett on a count back from Greg Locke. Ron Jamieson, Tom Fleming and Jason Evans won balls in the rundown. Jason also missed out by not being present for the card draw.
Juniors
Chris elms was our Junior Comp winner on Friday, runnerup was Lindsay Emmerson. The division ll winner was Hatden emmerson and runnerup was Kieran Shaw and Troy Baillie won divisionlll. The Juniors are traveling to Collinsville and Bowen this week end for their Junior Opens.
Ladies
Seven ladies contended the August monthly medal on Wednesday resulting in a win for Karen Oni with 75 nett, Marlene Gray was runnerup with 76 nett and Lyn Muller won a ball in the rundown. Karen also won the putting competition and the pinshot on number 9. Lyn Muller won the pinshot on number 16.
Coaching
The evening coaching with Rob McConnell is coming to an end and Rob will be holding a full day of coaching commencing in September, anyone who is interested can book by calling the Golf Club.

Thursday Club:
The purple patch for Peter Hull continued last Thursday when he won the 9 hole event with 26 points. Ray Plant and Mal Carter had to be satisfied with second best with 25 points each. Tom Phillips, Andrew Colborne and Bill Rogers were in the rundown. Consistency paid dividends for Ray Plant after shooting a solid 44 points to win the 18 hole event by two points from Pat Neal on 42. Norm Rasmussen was close behind on 39 along with Peter Hull. Pin Shots went to Andrew Colborne, Bill Woods, Les Bradford and Joe Taylor.
Saturday:
The August Monthly Medal was played on Saturday in mostly windy and rain affected weather. Cade Bryant revelled in the conditions, shooting a great 64 nett to win the overall and C Grade Medals. C Grade runner-up was Don Hope just one shot back on 65. The B Grade medal went Troy Smith with a 66 nett and Bill Foot continued his recent good form with a 67 nett to grab second place. The A Grade medal went to John Grosskreutz on 68 nett, winning by two shots from Dave O'Connor on 70.
Pin Shots went to Steve Ischenko from Sarina, Troy Dobbins, Dave Gates, Larry Muller and Mick Leo.
Next Saturday:
Next Saturday will be the Club Foursomes Championship. Registrations from 10am for a 10:30 tee off. A single stroke will be run from 11:30 for those not competing in the foursomes.
