Whitsunday Golf Club
There was a 9-hole tiger stableford played this morning for the last competition of the year.The winners were Peter Browning and Buck Little with 46 points and the runners-up were Scotty Wardroper and Deano Kercher on 41 points.Longest drive was won by Chris Bailey, Nearest the pins were won by Ernie Holstein and Joel Garner.
Next Sunday will be the Christmas Party/Presentation commencing at 11am. There will be no competition.
Dawnbusters
Pascal was the winner of the competition played on Sunday 3 December with a score of 32 nett, the runnerup with a great birdie on number 13 was Margaret Arnold on 34 nett. Ian Bishop was close behind with 35 nett. Larry Muller and Graeme Stoodley were the pinshot winners, Graeme was also the snake putter. The bradmans went to Ted Evans and Pasal had the least number of putts with 11 putts for 9 holes.
The Dawnies were all out by 6am this week which was pretty keen considering the weather. Jim Evans took out the comp with 32 nett from runnerup, Beryl Nosworthy with 35 nett, tom fleming was also in there with 36 nett. Paul Grace and allan Greedy were the pinshot winners, Margaret Arnold was the snake putter, Graeme Stoodley won the Bradmans and Jim Evans had the least number of putts.
Friday Chook Run
Gary Scotford was the winner of the Chook Run drawn on 1December, Lance Lloyd was runnerup and Ray Plant was third. Elspeth Scotford, Justin Connors,Ron Jamieson,Bill Foot,Stuart Win, Stephen Fahey, rob Stanley and Don Stafford all won balls in the rundown. Benn Ryan was the card draw winner
This weeks Chook run will be drawn on 15th instead of 8th because of the Cricket 7s Legends Golf Day that was played last Friday.
Juniors
The juniors had a funday at golf on Friday 8 December for their breakup and trophy presentation for 2006. A big thank you to Chris Connor and the Junior committee and coach, Rob McConnell and the junior golfers for a great year of golf, see you all next year when School recommences for 2007.
