Thursday Club:
The end of year break-up for the Thursday Club was held last week. It was a big day with a couple of additional comps played on top of the regular events. The Albert Pini Trophy was up for grabs on the front nine with Simon Dobbins getting the gong on a countback from Ray Plant, both on 32 net.
In the regular Thursday 9 hole comp Gary Flannery played well, shooting a solid 25 points, just edging out Les Bradford on 24. Adam Stroud shared 3 rd spot along with Ron Jamieson and Jason Colborne.
The B C Constructions Shield was contested over the 18 holes which was won by Rod Wecker after he jagged just enough long range putts to post 45 points on the board. Rob Stanley was next best on 42 just in front of Ray Plant, James Carman, Paul Joice and Jason Colborne. Rod Wecker also won the putting competition with 24 putts.
The pin shots went to Jas on Evans, Benn Ryan, Steve Mitchell, Gavin Milne, Jason Colborne and John Grosskreutz.
Saturday:
The Saturday calendar also wound up last weekend after Turkey Day was held with a 3 ball ambrose. Norm Ryan, Ken Whittaker and Lew Tuck gott home in a tightly contested affair with a net score of 51.5. Benn Ryan, Trevor Nosworthy and Ken Todd were second with 53.25 just ahead of Ian Powell, Pascal Neunreuther and Bob Croker on 53.5.
This Weekend:
This Saturday will be a single stroke. Nominations from 11am for an 11:30 tee off.
WHITSUNDAY GOLF CLUB PRESENTATIONS

A wonderful day was had by all on Sunday for our presentation/Christmas Party at Reef Gateway. The first presentation for the day was made to our long serving President, Kerry Hall, who was made a 'Life Member' in recognition of his never ending contribution to the club over the years, and was presented with a special shirt.
