Thursday Club:
It would appear the festive season has been good for James Carman after he came out all guns blazing last Thursday. James won both the 9 and 18 hole events by a country mile. His score of 25 points for the front nine was good enough to beat Allan Greedy and Bruce Munro on 24 while the trio of Brad Albertson, Mike Kavanagh and Ken Whittaker were close behind on 23 points.
The 18 hole comp was not so close. James shot a personal best of 82 off 24 handicap which resulted in a massive 49 stableford points. His closest rival was some 8 points behind on 41 points. Benn Ryan, Pascal Neunreuther and Bruce Munro all shared that score.
Pin shots went to Larry Muller, Ray Plant and Bruce Munro bagged a double.
Saturday:
The First monthly medal was held on Saturday with a good field showing to beat the heat. Albert Pini showed his younger rivals how to do it with a fine 64 net to win the Overall mug and C Grade Medal. Ron Jamieson was the C Grade Runner Up. Michael Leo returned to the winners circle with a tidy 65 net to win the A Grade medal from Justin Connors on 67 net. Neil Taylor was the B Grade winner with a 67 net, just ahead of Matt Goldman on 68.
The pin shots went to Justin Connors, Neil Taylor, Tony Hayward, Dave O'Connor, Adam Stroud and Kelvin Stephens.
This Weekend:
Saturday will be a single stroke from 11am with tee off from 11:30. See you there.
Dawnbusters
The winner of the monthly mug was new President Bruce Upchurch with a 30 nett score playing a 4 club event. George Stevenson was close behind with 34 nett followed by Ernie Holstein with 35 nett. Alla Scott and Larry muller won the pinshots on 2 and 9, Larry also had the least number of putts for the competition. Allan Greedy was the Bradman winner and Garry Flannery was the snake putter.
Friday Chook Run
Only a small field this week for the Chook Run so the only prize given was for the winner, Don Stafford who had 26 stableford points. Andy Turner's card was drawn this week but he was not present so the card draw jackpots to next week.
