There was another good roll-up for the 18-hole Monthly Medal this week
Winner of A-grade, once again, with a net score of 62 was Tony Rees from Kerry Hall who was runner-up on 65.
George Meharry won B-grade with 60 net from runner-up Ernie Holstein on 62.
C-grade winner was Elaine Philpott on 61 net with runner-up Donny Moore on 62.
Longest drives were won by Chris Bailey and Tess Aitken. Nearest the Pins were won by Tony Rees and Mal Carter for A-grade; Adam Stralow and Tommy Maaka for B-grade ; and Tess Aitken for C-grade. 'Dummy-spit' trophy was won by Ron Chant.
There will be no competition next week, so please check the board at the Gateway for information on the following week's game.
Dawnbusters
Barry McKenzie was the winner of the nine hole comp on Sunday with a 46 gross, 33 nett score. Maurie Moody was the runnerup with 35 nett followed by Pascal Neunreuther with 36 nett. Pascal also won the pinshot on number 2 and had the least number of putts for the competition. Brad Albertson took the other pinshot and Margaret Arnold won the Bradma's prize.
Friday Chook Run
Last week's Chook Run was a stroke competition and was won by Elspeth Scotford with 31 nett, runnerup was Alec Bragg, followed by Gary Scotford and Beryl Nosworthy who all had a 31 nett as well. The card draw was won by Ron Jamieson who was present for the draw.
Juniors
The juniors played a stroke competition on Friday with Chris Elms, Simon Dobbins and Justin Connors being the only players to complete 9 holes. Josh Laughton, Matthew Bluck, Joel Warren, Perry Mussared, and Dyllan Clarkeson completed 5 holes. The pennant teams are practicing hard for the competition played at Proserpine on the weekend of 28 and 29 October, a big thank you to Frank Goodfellow.
Ladies
Ladies are reminded that the AGM of the the Ladies Committee will be held at 11am on 1 November at the club.
Marlene Gray was the winner of the stroke and putts competition played on Wednesday. Marlele had 68 nett with Bernice Petersen close on her heels with 71nett in the runnerup position. Reh Hull was third with a 73 nett score. Jonny Goss won the pinshot on number 2 and Di Dobbins took out the pinshots on the par three holes, number 9 and 13. Lyn Muller won the putting competition with 31 putts.
