Thursday Club:
A good field showed up to brave the fierce heat last Thursday, with the conditions seemingly suiting Bruce Munro who won the 9 hole event with a net 28. Ernie Holstein shared second billing with Brian Smith and Ian Powell, all on 30 net.
Rod Wecker showed a long overdue return to form to win the 18 hole comp with a great 63 net. Lance Lloyd was next best on 64 just ahead of Don Stafford, Mark Trims and Ray Plant on 65.
Ray Plant did well to hang onto the pin shot on number 13 as Dave O'Connor went on a precision spree, winning all 3 other pins.
Saturday:
A moderate field attended the single stroke event last Saturday. Ken Whittaker proved all that practice does pay off after shooting a masterful 59 net, winning by some 4 shots from Jill Farinelli on 63 net. Lewis Tairaki continued his good run of form with a 65 net, along with Mark Trims, Lew Tuck and Rod wecker all on the same score.
Pins went to Ron Jamieson, Mark Trims, Justin Connors, Lew Tuck and Lance Lloyd.
This Weekend:
Saturday will be a single versus par with nominations from 11 for an 11:30 tee off.
Dawnbusters
The winner in the 9 hole competition on Sunday was Beryl Nosworthy with a score of 31 followed by Merv Cotteril as runner up on 33, Aaron Warren was in the rundown on 34 while Allan Greedy took out the Bradman"s prize. Pin shots were won by Ted Evans on number 13 and George Stevo on 16, Larry Muller was the winner of the least putts with Jim Evans taking out the snake putter. Friday Chook Run The Winner this week was Ron Jamison with a score of 27 closely followed by L Kingston on 28, in the rundown with scores of 29 were Ian Budd, Lance Lloyd and Tom Fleming Winner of the card draw was L. Kingston who was not present therefore the prize draw will jackpot next week.
