Saturday competition
With the course presenting exceptionally well, scores were on the improve this week.
Saturday saw the Hotel Metropole Single Stableford event being played which attracted 39 very keen players.
Matty Bluck played out of his skin, shooting 44 pts to win from Peter Williams, some 5 points adrift on 39
pts.
The rundown included Luchie Gardel 39, Larry Muller 37, Greg Walker, Gary Scotford, Bob Platt 36 and completing
the rundown was Trevor Paroz, Benn Ryan and Mark Richards, all on 35.
Pin shots went to Luchie Gardel on 10, Anna Winterbourne on 13 and Larry Muller on 16.
Thursday club
Pascal Neunreuther got things off to a flyer in the Men's Thursday Club Event, shooting 24 points to take the
win from runner-up Tom Fleming on 21 pts.
The rundown included John Grosskreutz, Ernie Holstein 20 and completing the rundown on 19 pts were George
Gnezdillof, Peter Scrivens, John Dodds, Michael Cragg & Peter Lewis.
In the 18 hole event Peter Willimams returned a solid 40 pts to win from runner-up John Grosskreutz on 39
pts.
The rundown included Lance Lloyd, Bill Woods 37 and completing the rundown were Alan Scott, Tom Fleming, Peter
Scrivens and Dave Rumble, all on 36 pts.
Pin shots went to Tom Fleming on 10, Ernie Holstein on 13 and Wayne Handley struck a lovely 3 wood to pick the
pin shot up on 16.
Chook Run
Luchie Gardel lead the way in this week's Chook Run event, returning a staggering 28 points to win from
runner-up Ben Pollard on 25 pts.
Dawnbusters
15 Dawnies took to the course on Sunday with the results, the winner Chris Henderson with 42/39, second Bill
O'Shea with 47/39 and third Lisa Schuring with 59/39.
The nearest pin on 13 was Tom Fleming and on 16 it was George Stevenson. The snake putter was Jim Evans and the
least putts went to Larry Muller with 13. Finally the Bradmans went to Jim Evans with a 64/54.
